Joe’s surveying career began in 2021 when he enrolled on a five-year, part-time Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship (Building Surveying) BSc (Hons) at the University of Portsmouth. Since then, he has built a strong foundation in building consultancy, with much of his experience centred on projects for the Ministry of Defence. His work has included refurbishment design, feasibility studies, and progressing projects from Stage 2 concept design through to detailed design and site completion.
Alongside his core design and project management responsibilities, Joe frequently undertakes building condition surveys and defects analysis, providing practical technical insight and supporting clients in maintaining and improving their built estate.
As his career has developed, Joe has shown a real strength for engaging directly with clients, helping to shape project briefs, align technical solutions with operational requirements, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. His experience across multiple RIBA stages has given him a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility through to handover and completion.
